Hi! We're Ruckus Theatre Co.
We are a bold, fresh, and unapologetically political group of young people, who came together in late 2019 to create theatre. We are experienced creatives with a particular interest in staging emotive and engaging performances, which highlight marginalised groups, actively engage with conversations on social issues and leave the audience with something to think about. We offer opportunities to creatives from all walks of life and intend to use our platform to promote education on critical issues and to offer opportunities to other young creatives. Our first two productions: Wallace Shawn's The Fever and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet are due to be staged in the October and December of 2020 respectively.
As a new company, we are looking for any help that people would be able to give so that we can put these productions on! In particular, we need help to put down deposits on venues for both productions and fundraisers, as well as to buy props and costumes, and make orders on merchandise. We will be fundraising for our production of Romeo and Juliet separately at a later date, so look out for that coming soon!
Thank you for reading, and have a lovely day!
