London Marathon x 4 in 24hrs - Mira Rai Initiative
Donation protected
Hi this is Ruden Bhutia, founder of Runderbolts & Hoka Racer. This year I will be attempting to run the London Marathon route 4 times in a row in 24 hours (42.2km x 4 = 168.8km). I will be raising funds for the Mira Rai Initiative to help build the first ever Running training camp in Nepal. We aim to provide a home and training ground for those underprivileged runners who do not have the funds or access to training to pursue their dreams of running. This training camp will not only be a safe space and hub of inspiration, but a breeding ground for future champions in the international Trail running scene. Mira Rai’s story is the example of the potential that these girls have, and with our help we can shape their destiny and be a part of history.
We will have live updates from Mira and the team who have already got the ball rolling and have started building the camp, with this money we can ensure the project has the sufficient funds to see the developments through to completion.
Santosh Rai, Founder of Nepal Run and representative of the Mira Rai Initiative will be a key figure in the campaign and I thank him and his team for his ongoing support and hard work in the community and especially for bringing this project to life!
Having completed the London Marathon route 3 times back to back last year, I wanted to challenge myself to go one up on that and try and do it 4 times in 24 hours. I will start Saturday afternoon the previous day and do 26.2 mile route 1st backwards from Buckingham Palace to Greenwich, then forwards from Greenwich to Buckingham Palace, then backwards again, then join my wave with the rest of my Runderbolts crew to run the official London marathon!
Thank you for all of your support! You can follow my journey on @rudenbhutia and @runderbolts instagram. You can learn more about the Mira Rai initiative here: https://miraraiinitiative.org
