We’re building a nonprofit to teach safer, sillier, more inclusive pup play & kink — and we need your help to launch.

Who We Are

We’re Ben, Tom, Alex, and Katie — a small group of queer pups based in Raleigh, NC. We created Ruff Pup because we know how hard it can be to explore kink safely and confidently, especially if you're LGBTQ+.

In today’s political climate, it’s more important than ever to stand together, protect each other, and bark proudly. Ruff Pup is our way of doing that — creating a safer, sillier, and more informed community for pups, handlers, and the kink-curious.

What We’re Doing

Ruff Pup is launching as a nonprofit organization focused on:

Workshops & 101s – Helping new pups and handlers explore with confidence

Consent & Safety Training – Because kink should always be informed and safe

Gear Education – From collars to tails, we’ll show folks how to play smart

Mental Health & Peer Support – Community is everything

Pup Moshes & Events – Fun, welcoming, and judgment-free

Outreach & Pride Visibility – Destigmatizing kink through presence and education

What Your Donation Supports

Filing 501(c)(3) nonprofit status

Our Goal

We’re aiming to raise $20,000, with a minimum goal of $9,000 to get off the ground.

No amount is too small. Every single donation helps us bark louder, wag harder, and keep queer kink safe, inclusive, and joyful.

This isn’t just about pup play — it’s about creating a community where queers feel safe, empowered, and unashamed to explore identity, intimacy, and kink.
