Chi siamo: la scuola rugby Elio Fusco Comitato Campano femminile

La scuola:

La nostra storia parte da lontano, dagli anni dei primi scudetti 64' 65 ' e il rugby da allora è sempre stata una costante nella nostra vita sociale e lavorativa.

Il Comitato:

Lavoriamo da tempo con le educative territoriali che si occupano di difficoltà minorile e la palla ovale è stata per noi sempre uno strumento di aggregazione e sana socialità, usando da sempre i valori del rugby: Sostegno, Squadra, disciplina, impegno.

Da più di un anno con il presidente del comitato Campania e le società di rugby presenti sul territorio abbiamo scommesso tanto sul movimento rugbistico femminile, tanto da triplicare le presenze.

Questo perché crediamo fortemente tutte e tutti nella valenza educativa che il gioco del rugby sa infondere e non solo, per equiparare la disparità di genere che questo sport specie al sud fatica a raggiungere.

Ogni singola/o allenatrice allenatore ha lavorato tanto per far crescere il movimento rugbistico femminile, e benché con risorse esigue lo scorso anno la Campania è stata presente a tutte le attività promosse dalla federazione italiana rugby con le categorie U14 U16 U18, gli appuntamenti di Noceto e Parma, i vari concentramenti organizzati dal comitato sul territorio e ovviamente non potevamo mancare al torneo U14 femminile di Treviso con una delegazione le ragazze hanno giocato tanto acquisendo sempre più capacità tecniche ma la cosa più straordinaria è la famiglia che siamo/sono riuscite a creare.

☀Il faro di tutte le ragazze è stata un ex giocatrice della Nazionale italiana Rugby, Silvia Gaudino che ha creduto nel movimento rugbistico femminile e ha lavorato sodo affinché le ragazze tutte potessero raggiungere competenze tecniche tali da potersi confrontare con le pari età dei club del nord Italia da sempre più pronte e preparate sia per numeri che per gli innumerevoli impianti sportivi ed ovviamente risorse economiche.

Silvia è nata nel rugby il suo papà era un giocatore poi allenatore.

"Quando ero ragazzina, il rugby femminile non aveva un grande seguito in Italia, mio padre giocava, mi portava sempre con sé al campo di rugby a guardare le partite all'epoca il rugby femminile ma anche quello maschile non veniva mostrato molto in Italia, ho iniziato a giocare a rugby piuttosto tardi, intorno ai 17 anni nel 1998 e il resto è storia, sono stata insieme alle mie compagne di squadra una pioniera per questo sport "nato" per i maschi "

Gaudino ha vinto 72 presenze con l’Italia ed è stata una delle due giocatrici a disputare i Mondiali 2002 e 2017 per le azzurre.

Da 1 anno è a Salerno e ed è tecnico regionale del settore femminile in Campania.

Un'altra donna ex giocatrice, grande amica nonchè grande sostenitrice delle ragazze campane Deborah Griffin presidentessa RFU del settore inglese femminile con lei si è consolidata la possibilità di un interscambio rugbistico culturale tra noi e quelle Inglesi un opportunità unica.

QUESTO E’ IL NOSTRO DESIDERIO

Vogliamo che un gruppo di atlete sarà ospite in un club inglese di grande tradizione femminile per otto giorni, per far sì che le competenze tecniche di ognuna accrescono tutto il movimento rugbistico femminile Campano.

Il tuo sostegno ci consentirà di acquistare i biglietti aerei il vitto e l'alloggio al college.

Faremo 3 allenamenti al giorno con i club inglesi della zona potremmo allenarci con le pari età in campi d'erba del Finchley Rugby Club Summers Lane LONDON N12 0PD.

Ovviamente ricambieremo l'ospitalità in primavera quando saranno le ragazze inglesi a raggiungere Napoli per restituire al territorio e a chiunque ci sosterrà l'enorme esperienza fatta

Our history starts way back, from the years of the first 64' 65' championships and since then rugby has always been a constant in our social and working life. We have been working for some time with local educational institutions that deal with juvenile difficulties and the oval ball has always been for us a tool for aggregation and healthy sociality, always using the values ​​of rugby: Support, Team, discipline, commitment.

For more than a year, with the president of the Campania committee and the rugby clubs present in the area, we have bet so much on the women's rugby movement, so much so that we have tripled attendance.

This is because we strongly believe in the educational value that the game of rugby can instill and not only, to equalize the gender disparity that this sport, especially in the south, struggles to achieve.

Every single coach/coach has worked hard to grow the women's rugby movement, and although with limited resources, last year Campania was present in all the activities promoted by the Italian rugby federation with the U14 U16 U18 categories, the Noceto events and Parma, the various concentrations organized by the committee in the area and obviously we couldn't miss the U14 women's tournament in Treviso with a delegation. The girls played a lot, acquiring more and more technical skills but the most extraordinary thing is the family that we are/have managed to create.

The lighthouse of all the girls was a former player of the Italian national rugby team, Silvia Gaudino who believed in the women's rugby movement and worked hard so that all the girls could achieve technical skills such as to be able to compete with the same age groups of the northern clubs Italy has always been more ready and prepared both in terms of numbers and the countless sports facilities and obviously economic resources.

Silvia was born into rugby, her father was a player and then a coach.

"When I was a little girl, women's rugby didn't have a big following in Italy, my father played, he always took me with him to the rugby field to watch the matches. At the time, women's rugby but also men's rugby wasn't shown much in Italy, I I started playing rugby quite late, around the age of 17 in 1998 and the rest is history, together with my teammates I was a pioneer for this sport "born" for males"

Gaudino won 72 caps for Italy and was one of two players to play in the 2002 and 2017 World Cups for the Italians.

He has been in Salerno for 1 year and is a regional technician for the women's sector in Campania.

Another former female player, great friend and great supporter of the girls from Campania, Deborah Griffin, RFU president of the English women's sector, with her the possibility of a cultural rugby exchange between us and the English women was consolidated, a unique opportunity.

THIS IS OUR DREAM

We want a group of athletes to be guests in an English club with a great women's tradition for eight days, to ensure that the technical skills of each one increase the entire Campania women's rugby movement.

WHAT ARE THE FUNDS FOR?

Your support will allow us to purchase plane tickets, room and board at college.

We will do 3 training sessions a day with the English clubs in the area, we could train with the same age groups on the grass pitches of the Finchley Rugby Club Summers Lane LONDON N12 0PD.

Obviously we will reciprocate the hospitality in the spring when the English girls will reach Naples to give back to the territory and to anyone who will support us the enormous experience gained
