Stacy and her family

Meet my friend and former co-worker Stacy! This girl is as about quirky, fun, big hearted and loving as it gets! She lights up a room, has an amazing singing voice and always makes you laugh! Recently she has been given some very sad news. After months of not feeling herself and many doctor appointments with no answers, she finally had someone listen to her. After many tests and trips down to the Rochester mayo clinic, she got her diagnosis. Cancer.

a word know one should hear, especially at such a young age. Specifically Stacy has stage 3 Adenocarcinoma (cervical cancer) This is rare and forming in the glands of her uterus. She also has a thyroid tumor that luckily is benign but is growing under her clavicle, displacing her esophagus and that will require surgery. Starting next week Stacy will undergo months of Internal and external radiation, as well as chemotherapy, followed by thyroid surgery.

She is a single mother with kids at home and will be unable to work for several months due to side affects from treatment.

Funds from this will go to bills. Rent, utilities, gas for driving to and from Mayo, hotel rooms for when she has to stay down there for internal radiation, co pays for insurance, groceries and basic supplies to support her and her kids while she gets treatment.
