Rumbles' FIP treatment
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My 4 month old kitten, Rumbles, has recently developed FIP - once something that was considered a death sentence. Thankfully that is no longer the case, but treatment is expensive, and with everything that's happened over the last
6 months, it's going to be very hard to afford.
I had a house fire back in June that completely tore through the inside of the house, rendering it uninhabitable. A few weeks after that, while trying to catch my kitties that all scattered during the fire, I found a litter of 2 week old kittens hidden inside of a chair in my home, but couldn't find mama. I couldn't leave them in the house with how unsafe it was at the time, so I took them with me and hand raised them. Rumbles is one of those kittens. He's a sweet boy, loves to cuddle and purrs and sit on my shoulder and rub all over my face and knock my headset off when he thinks I'm not paying him enough attention.
Last Thursday, I came home to find him unable to hear, see, or walk. I immediately went into super cat mom mode, checked him over for injuries, and started syringe feeding him water and food. He started to come around a little bit, he became more alert, but still couldn't walk. A vet trip the next day got him fluids, antibiotics, deformed, and not alot of answers as we couldn't get any blood from him in the state he was. However, the vet was suspecting that he has Neuro FIP. I went home with him, and reached out to the only group I knew that could help, and within 2 days, I had the first vial of his medication and gave him his first dose. The change after even just a few hours was remarkable. He's able to get his legs under him, wobble around, and he even has the energy to play with one of his brothers.
My family and I are in the middle of a move from one state to another, and with the added expenses of a temporary place to live, car repairs, and caring for several cats and 3 dogs, I need help getting the first order of Rumbles new meds and supplies. Anything that is donated goes 100% to the cost of his care.
