Running 1,100 Miles for 1,100 Meals for December

Youghal Meals on Wheels is a valuable, voluntary organisation that delivers freshly prepared meals to our most vulnerable and isolated citizens within our community 3-days a week.  For many, they've had a very hard few months of self-isolation and loneliness, meeting and seeing no-one other than the volunteer who visits with their dinner every 2-days. What we must remember is that not everyone is lucky enough to have a family member living within their 5k limit.  Our service, Youghal Meals on Wheels, currently delivers 1,100 meals a month within our community as well as a friendly face and a chat.  With that in mind, we expect to deliver the same number of meals in the Month of December and we want to gift these meals to our community for the month that’s in it.  

A Team of 12 (11 Youghal Ladies and The Mayo 1) will run 1,100 miles in the month of November to pay for the December Meals. All we’re asking is a donation of €4 which will cover the cost of 1 meal. IMPORTANT: Every EURO raised goes direct to Youghal Meals on Wheels. 

OUR GOAL is to raise €4,400 which pays for the 1,100 MEALS on WHEELS we will delivery in DECEMBER
