Running for Mental Health: The Aimee Howard Foundation

About the Aimee Howard Foundation
The Aimee Howard Foundation was established in memory of Aimee Charlotte Howard, a courageous teenager who struggled with her mental health. Aimee desperately needed therapy, but financial barriers prevented her from getting the help she deserved. Tragically, Aimee’s story reflects the struggles of many young people who face similar obstacles every day. Our foundation aims to change that by covering the cost of therapy for young adults and teens who otherwise couldn't afford it. We believe that everyone deserves access to the mental health care they need, regardless of their financial situation.
SANAM800 - Running to Namibia
We will be running from Cape Town to Namibia in October/November 2024. This run, covering nearly 800 km, support the Aimee Howard Foundation. It’s a challenging route, with intense heat and rugged terrain, but we are determined to raise awareness and funds for this cause. More info on this project can be found at SANAM800
Running for a Cause: Across the United States
In May 2025, Michael Larter will embark on a monumental journey, running from Los Angeles to New York. That’s 4,500 km, which he plans to cover in just under 70 days. This run isn’t just a physical challenge; it’s a powerful statement. Every step he takes is a reminder that we can go the extra mile to ensure no one has to fight their mental health battles alone.
