Run every street to fill every plate.

In 2019, I started an adventure to stay in shape and learn about my new city of Alameda, CA. My goal was to run the length of every street to learn a bit more about my new community. I finished that quest in May 2020 and thought about what was next.
With the city of Alameda under my belt, I set an even more ambitious goal to run the entire county of Alameda. Now, in 2024, I just passed the 90% mark of running all 16,080 streets in Alameda County, with an expected completion date in spring/summer of 2025, which I'll cap off with a 30+ mile run from Alameda to Livermore.
Throughout this journey, while taking in the diversity of terrain and people of Alameda County, I was thinking of ways to give back to the community that I've been so fortunate to be a part of for the last 5 years. I believe the best way to do that is to support the Alameda County Community Food Bank, who are doing their part to make sure that no one has to worry where their next meal will come from.
I've set a goal of $1,608 (10 cents for every street), and I'll personally match $2 for every $1 that is contributed here up to that goal. Help support my crazy quest to cover the entire county on foot and aid a great cause that is working tirelessly to ensure the food security of all those that live here.
