Run for Artists: Big Sur Marathon Fundraiser
Tax deductible
Dear Friends,
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be returning to the Big Sur Marathon on April 27th, 2025, running along one of the most awe-inspiring courses in the world. But this isn’t just about crossing another finish line—it’s about making a real impact for a profoundly personal cause to many of us.
Once again, I’m running to support the Episcopal Actors' Guild (EAG), a remarkable organization that’s been a lifeline for performers in crisis for over 100 years. From helping artists in crisis with medical bills, rent, and groceries to offering career and community support, EAG ensures that the performers who bring stories to life aren’t left struggling in silence.
Last year, despite a few unexpected challenges—including the road literally washing out!—we managed to raise over $1,700 for EAG. I’m still blown away by the generosity and support that made that possible. This year, I’m determined to go the distance—both on the course and in our fundraising efforts.
As many of you know, being an artist isn’t easy. The arts are essential to our culture and well-being, but the people behind the work often face financial instability. EAG is there to make sure artists don’t fall through the cracks during hard times.
The Big Sur Marathon is no walk in the park. It’s famous for its breathtaking views, steep climbs, and unpredictable weather. But every step of the way, I’ll think of the artists EAG supports—those who continue to create, inspire, and persevere against all odds.
This run is about more than miles. It’s about honoring the resilience of artists and ensuring that their voices, stories, and creativity continue to thrive and serve the communities we love and live in.
I’m inviting you to join me in this journey. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly to the Episcopal Actors' Guild and is tax-deductible. Together, we can help more artists find the support they need to weather difficult times and keep bringing their vital work to the world.
Let’s make this race count. Let’s uplift the arts, support those who inspire us, and cross the finish line together.
With deep appreciation,
Craig
