Run For Ava- 4-4-48 challenge

Donation protected
Join us as we attempt the 4-4-48 challenge to help change the life of a very special girl!

In 2015 young Ava, who was just an infant at the time, was diagnosed with severe neuroblastoma in her chest and spinal canal. While her survival was initially in doubt, Ava’s fighting spirit enabled her to pull through, and fantastically, six years later, she is now in remission. However even though it’s no longer growing, the tumour that remains on her spine has left her immobile from the waist down.

Ever the fighter, Ava and her family haven’t given up hope that she will one day walk again. Ava works with a physio regularly to help improve her mobility, however as she is confined to a wheelchair in her time outside of the physio’s office, we want to give her journey to mobility an added boost. How? By raising money for a walking frame and equipment that Ava and her family can use at home to assist her recovery.

In order to do this, we’ve been inspired by David Goggins’ 4-4-48 running challenge, pioneered by David Goggins, which requires us to work to run four miles, every four hours, for two days straight, morning noon and night. Thats 78km each in just two days.

Any additional money raised will go towards Ava’s ongoing treatment. Any little will help!
