Hi, everyone!

I'm Robin, and I'm excited to share that on March 3rd I'll be running my first-ever marathon at Tokyo 2024! I'm thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of the 180 runners to represent an incredible charity, Plan International.

As a middle school math and science teacher, my career revolves around empowering my students and fostering their confidence as both learners and individuals. I've chosen to run for Plan International because of this year's campaign - Run for Girls! This focus supports projects that champion girls' access to education and stand against forced early marriages.

Girls receiving an education is so important. I am so lucky that I get to see the growth and development of my students every day - girls everywhere deserve to feel that! When girls have the confidence and ability to think for themselves, they gain independence and freedom. This energy ripples through communities, creating positive change and opening doors to new possibilities. By supporting this cause, we contribute to building a world where girls are empowered with education, enabling them to shape their communities, families, and futures.

I welcome you to join me on this journey by supporting Plan International. Plan International is an independent child rights and humanitarian organization committed to children living a life free of poverty, violence and injustice. This year, they have a specific focus on girls and women, who are most often left behind. When disasters or conflict threatens children’s lives and well-being, Plan is quick to respond.
