Run for Helen: For Sarcoma Cancer Research
Spende geschützt
On New Year's Eve 2020 after a very short illness Helen Nuding passed away surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was the type of person who brought light and love into the lives of everyone who met her. She would make friends everywhere she went, whether at work, through her children or even during chance encounters with strangers; she always left a lasting impression on those lucky enough to cross her path.
She had a zest for life; she was kind and fun, caring and interesting, a great friend, a brilliant listener, an adored wife and an excellent mother. Helen is missed by her family and friends every day.
Unfortunately, when Helen passed away Ireland was experiencing the most harshest of Covid restrictions and so while she had a small private family funeral, it was not possible for there to be the celebration of life that she deserved. To mark what would have been Helen’s 64th birthday a group of Helen’s family and friends will embark on the Irish Life Half Marathon in the Phoenix Park. The run will take place on the 17th of September, the day after Helen's birthday.
Helen's illness was a sarcoma, a rare form of cancer of the soft tissue. As sarcoma cancers are very rare there is little research and currently there is no Irish charity dedicated to finding breakthroughs or supporting sarcoma patients and their families. Many Irish patients dealing with sarcomas travel to the UK for treatment. Helen's family would like to raise donations in her name to support Sarcoma Research UK.
