Run for Joe: Support Suicide Prevention

Tax deductible
Hello all,

My cousin, Michael, and I will be running the Buffalo Marathon on May 25 in honor of my brother Joe. We are running to raise awareness for suicide prevention. All the money we raise will be donated in Joe’s name to the Jed Foundation because of the important work they do for young people in need of support who may find it difficult to ask for help.

The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting mental health and emotional well-being for young people, particularly college and high school students. It works to prevent suicide, reduce substance abuse, and support mental health through various programs, resources, and partnerships with schools and communities. JED’s initiatives include offering mental health education, training for school staff, and strategies for building supportive campus environments. They also help institutions improve their mental health policies and services. The foundation aims to equip young people with the tools they need to manage stress, seek help when needed, and thrive emotionally.

If anyone reading this is struggling with your mental health, please remember it is always okay to ask for help—you are valued, you are loved, and you are not alone.

Thank you for donating and/or sharing :)
