Run for Recovery - Drug- Alcohol- Veterans

Bret Buike will be running the Goggins Challenge with the support of Bob Laughton, Recovery Resources and The Nord Center, the weekend of August 27-28th to raise money for those affected by Drug and Alcohol Addiction and for those who have Veterans who suffer with mental health and have lost loved ones to Suicide. Bob and I have both lost too many friends and family to these diseases. Most notably, my sister-in-law Kate Holton, who died 12 years ago of an overdose, leaving my nephew Brandon and her family Behind. Also, my Nephew Justice, an Army Veteran who took his own life shortly after returning home, who left behind his family and 3 brothers. Bob lost his long time childhood friends, Vinny, Dave and Elvis. Our goal is to push our bodies as hard as we can to raise awareness and money for these two great causes. If we could do enough to help one family or one person, it would be worth it.

Our plan is to run each 4 hour block of the Goggins 4x4x48 challenge in the name of someone who has been lost to Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Mental Health or Veteran Suicide. For example I will Run 4 Miles for Kate and 4 miles for Justice. We are hoping you will allow us to run in the name of one of your Family members or Friends name so we can make a large donation in their Honor. We would like to run for at least 24 different people. Please send me your family or friends name, a picture of them and any information you would like to share. We will also be doing 22 pushups throughout the challenge in honor of veterans. We would like to encourage those of you who can, to participate. Run or walk 4 miles if you can or just do pushups and please post it to our Facebook page to share in the cause and help increase donations.
