Run for Rett
Donation protected
Last year, my daughter Sadie was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that primarily affects girls. On October 27, I’m running the Dublin Marathon to raise funds for two vital organisations: the Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT) and Jack & Jill.
RSRT is leading the way in funding groundbreaking genetic therapies, bringing us closer to what was once unimaginable—a cure. Rett Syndrome could be the first neurological disorder to be cured, but there is still a long road ahead. There are currently two therapies at clinical trial. RSRT is planning to sponsor another 3 therapies that are showing huge potential. You can learn more about the RSRT work in the video below.
Closer to home, Jack & Jill has been a lifeline for families across Ireland. Thanks to their incredible service, Sadie has a carer, allowing us to maintain our jobs and lead “normal” lives while navigating this journey.
Your support will directly fund research toward a cure that Sadie could one day receive and also provide essential services for families like ours who need a little extra help caring for children with needs.
Thank you in advance.
