Run with Rocky for Homeless Veterans 2019
Ever since Rocky Tinkler was young, he's always had a passion for running, whether it was recreational or competitive. Currently, Rocky is the captain for the Krop Lightning Varsity Cross Country Team, representing Dr. Michael Krop Senior High in Miami-Dade County.
Rocky's father, Scott Tinkler, his cousin Robert Garrett, and family friend Nicholas Sorci are all proud veterans of the United States Marine Corps. Although they transitioned well back into civilian life, not all veterans are as fortunate and some have fallen onto hard times. Rocky and his family want to do their part to help out those who served our country. At his high school, Rocky organized several drives that collected hygiene items, canned goods, and clothing for homeless veterans.
On this Veterans Day weekend (11/9/19) Rocky and his family will be participating in the "Rocky Run", a run through Philadelphia based upon the route Rocky Balboa ran in the Rocky film series. They are running to raise awareness and donations for homeless veterans. 100% of the money donated to this campaign will go to the Miami VA to support the homeless veterans of South Florida. With your donation, you will be a part of the team and contribute to a great cause. Semper Fi!
