Run31 for Laura
Donation protected
This fundraising page has been created in memory of Laura Barry who died on 13th July 2018 following a battle with sarcoma.
A former apprentice to Richard Fahey, Laura moved to England in 2010 to pursue a career in the saddle. Her riding career highlights include representing Ireland in the HH Sheikh Fatima Bint Mubarak World Apprentice Series in San Francisco, and winning the Prolinx Ladies Silver Championship for the highest strike rate in a season.
In March 2016, Laura was diagnosed with a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour. Laura bravely faced each challenge that cancer posed to the bitter end of her fight - She was a force to be reckoned with. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend to so many who always managed to bring a smile to people's faces even in her darkest days. She was a true fighter with a wicked sense of humour who we miss dearly.
In honour of Laura's 31st birthday on the 4th of August, we will be running 31 kilometres on the 5th of August to raise funds for Sarcoma Cancer Ireland, a cause that is very close to our hearts. We would be greatly appreciative if anyone would consider making a donation to support the essential work that Sarcoma Cancer Ireland are doing
