Run for Homeless in Hawaii
Tax deductible
Aloha all,
Project Hawai'i is a 100% volunteer run non-profit organization solely supported by public donations. 100% of all donations directly benefit our Hawaii homeless and poverty stricken children.
May 27th 2017, I will run 100 miles of the Big Island in Hawai'i with the intention of seeing Hawaii as she truely is and sharing the journey on social media. This will be thru a verified and sanctioned UltraRun Ep1cman 100. Often I am running thru the piece of Hawaii carefully constructed to be hidden from tourism. It is all to common for these children to drop out of school when recently displaced, to become homeless, or to be raised in and out of homeless situations. . often dealing with hunger, malnutriton, and lack of proper hygiene or clothing.
Project Hawai'i, Inc.'s motto is - One might not be able to change where they came from, but one change where they are going.
As well as doing annual events such as
Healthy Hearts for Homeless Keiki, Easter Celebrations, Spring Break, Mother's Day Events, Summer Camp, Back to School Support, Teen Mentoring, Make a Difference Day, Turn Hawai'i Purple-Stop Child Abuse, Halloween Costume Workshop, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Holiday Events. The also have a Monthly Outreach Goals of Enhancing the lives of homeless keiki.... by Providing Nutritional Hot Meals, Food Boxes
teaching Life Skills, providing Personal Hygiene bags, New Shoes/Outfits, giving HOPE and Self-esteem, Emergency Support and general Life Necessities. They assure that no child goes without, and strive to keep updated on the newly homeless keiki while keeping track of the ones who have been displaced.
Being a part of the Hawaii islands has greatly deepened my love for its lands, but also broken my heart time and time again in those displaced and struggling to survive here. Be a part of my journey around the Big Island and help me make a difference for the Hawaii youth, who's innocence deserves to go to bed with a stable location, clean clothes, and enough food to not be hungry.
