Life isn't fair. That's something every adult learns as they live. When children are afflicted with illness or any other affliction it makes it very hard to accept that life can be so unfair. Children are innocent. So, it hurts when they are afflicted.

This year's SSOD race (Stone Stairs of Death) is dedicated to Mikey Boswell and his family. Mikey was diagnosed with osteosarcoma earlier this year.

The running community of Savannah, Ga is standing the gap for Mikey and his family with lots of prayers, hope and support.

Every cent that is collected through this gofundme account will go to the Boswell family to use as they wish. None of the SSOD race's costs will be taken from this account.

You may also choose to participate in the SSOD race which you can register at ultrasignup. The SSOD race is a timed event offering 1 and 2 hour running slots on the 1/3 of a mile course that takes runners up the infamous stone stairs of death off of River Street in downtown Savannah, Ga.

The male and female runners that run the most mileage in the 1 or 2 hour slot will be crowned the 2023 SSOD King, Queen, Prince and Princess.
