Runner trampled by deer while competing in race

My sister (Rebecca Heasley) was trampled by a deer while competing in Geauga Park District's SPACE RACE on October 1st. She's been competing in races for years and completed dozens, most often with my other sister, Victoria Heasley. This race was going well almost until the end when she was exiting the woods on the trail. It was there she was struck by a deer that was running into the woods. She was knocked to the ground and trampled. Deer hooves are like knives and gashed open Rebecca's head, ear, and neck. She works at Progressive, and her Health Insurance is good, but there will be a lot of bills and further appointments. She is a good person, acting in good faith, and she didn't deserve this. I hope this GoFundMe will help her raise money to get through this difficult time. I'm sure running another race in any park will be difficult without thinking about this horrific event. She did finish the race, by the way; she had little choice, as it would take the paramedics a long time to reach her near the end of the course. Victoria was wonderful in helping get Rebecca to the ambulance and followed them to the hospital while alerting the family to the incident.
