Running 100 miles in January
After the sudden loss of my Dad nearly 3 years ago, I realised how critical exercise is to maintain good mental health. My dad’s constant determination to complete new physical challenges is my motivation for completing this challenge.
I have chosen this charity as the money raised will go towards helping to improve the quality of life for people severely effected by mental illness.
They have the aim of making sure that everyone has the capability of a good quality of life despite living with mental illness.
The impact of COVID 19 on mental health has been detrimental for many people, additional to the fact that mental illness often thrives on isolation; it is more important than ever to check up on your friends and family.
If you don’t personally suffer with a mental illness yourself, you will most likely know someone that does.
Having suffered myself with Anxiety, OCD and Bulimia, I know how exhausting living with a mental illness can be in your every day life, as well as the effect it has on relationships and the people close to you.
Please show any support you can, I’ll be doing weekly updates on my Instagram.
Please reach out for help or talk to someone if you are struggling. There is help out there.
