Running a marathon in 6m garden for NHS in CROCS!
Hello Dream Team,
On Sunday 26th April I was meant to be running the London Marathon for the first time (as a 5 ft 7 bloke with short legs and small feet, I am not built for running!)
As it has been cancelled, I've decided to host it myself, in my back garden, in my crocs!
At 9am I will be putting on my crocs, slipping on the safety straps and running a marathon in my tiny little 6 metre long garden! This will be 7033 lengths, equalling 26.2 miles (or 42.2 km)
“Why are you running in crocs?" you ask
Well, our wonderful NHS and medical workers are completing 12.5+ hour shifts in crocs to protect us against the corona virus. So it only seems fair to wear a pair of crocs during my marathon challenge.
My sister is a midwife and was recently hospitalised with severe dehydration and a kidney infection due to the complications of wearing PPE for long shifts in very challenging conditions.
I aim to raise £1000 for the NHS but would be delighted if you could all help me beat this!

Thank you and stay safe,
Rafferty Gunn
