Running for a Cure: Honoring My Dad’s Battle with PSP
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
Five years ago, my dad received a life-altering diagnosis: Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). This rare neurodegenerative disease has gradually stolen pieces of the vibrant man we know and love. Yet, despite the challenges, his spirit remains unbroken, inspiring us every day with his courage and resilience.
On February 2nd, 2025—his birthday—our family will lace up our running shoes to participate in the Miami Marathon. We’re not just running a race; we’re embarking on a journey to raise awareness and funds for CurePSP, the leading organization dedicated to finding a cure for this devastating condition.
What is PSP?
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy is a rare brain disorder that affects movement, control of walking and balance, speech, swallowing, vision, mood, and behavior. There is no known cure, and treatments are limited. Increased awareness and funding are critical to advance research efforts that could lead to effective therapies and, ultimately, a cure.
Why We Need Your Help
By supporting our marathon run, you’re contributing to more than just a cause—you’re fueling hope for countless families affected by PSP. Your donation will directly fund:
• Research: Accelerating studies to understand PSP and develop treatments.
• Support Programs: Providing resources and assistance to patients and caregivers.
• Awareness Campaigns: Educating the public and medical community to improve early diagnosis.
Join Us in Making a Difference
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world without PSP. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network can make a significant impact.
From the Bottom of Our Hearts, Thank You
Your generosity means the world to us and gives strength to my dad and our family. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against PSP.
