Ro & Joe: Running For Beirut
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and members of the community,
Following the devastating events of the Beirut Explosions on the afternoon of August 4th, 2020, Lebanon and its people have been enduring a never-ending, multidimensional crisis. Many have been rendered homeless, impoverished, and traumatized; this has only added to the strain of fighting off the COVID-19 global pandemic and the ongoing economic crisis.
In light of this news, we have decided to initiate a fundraiser called Running for Beirut, in which both of us will run to raise money for Beirut. For every $20 donated, one of us will run one kilometre. 100% of the proceeds will go to a non-profit, non-sectarian organization called Impact Lebanon, which has successfully led several community initiatives and has been allocating donations to a variety of Lebanese NGOs in need.
As athletes, we have both always derived a deep sense of accomplishment from going on runs, but through this fundraiser we hope to not only maintain our fitness, but more importantly, to raise awareness and funding for an important cause that is near and dear to our hearts. For more information and to keep up with the Running for Beirut journey, follow us on our respective Instagram accounts; @robelow (Rawan) and @_joemaalouf (Joe).
We thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
