Running for Black Lives

In order to be more active and vocal in the fight against racial oppression and the continued brutality against African-Americans, this summer I would like to raise money in support of the broader Black Lives Matter movement. The Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization dedicated to affirming the lives of all black people.

Throughout the course of 3 months (starting June 1st and ending September 1st), I will be running the length of the New York City Subway system, comprised of 245 miles of route track between its 472 stations. On September 1st, once I have run my 245th mile, I will donate all funds raised through this GoFundMe as well as a dollar for every mile run to the #BlackLivesMatter foundation.

I’d like to encourage you all to donate to help support the cause of racial injustice, fight against police violence, and foster connections between black people and their allies in the fight against anti-black racism.

It is so incredibly important that we do whatever we can to fight racial injustice and anti-black racism, whether it be by way of donations, protests, educating ourselves and others, or even having conversations with our friends, family and community.
