Running Strong for Endo Warriors
Tax deductible
I'm participating in the Little Silver 5K and fundraising for the Endometriosis Foundation of America, and I'd like to share my journey with you. Throughout my life, I've had a love for running and all sports; however, finishing races, or anything for that matter, was constantly thwarted by the excruciating pain of endometriosis. Even the treadmill or walking short distances became my enemy.
In May of 2023, I underwent a life-changing excision surgery performed by the skilled Dr. Tamer Seckin. This surgery transformed my life in ways I could have never imagined. Living with endometriosis can be an incredibly isolating experience. It often involves enduring years of medical gaslighting and judgment from others due to the invisible nature of the disease, often leading to a delayed diagnosis, which averages a staggering 10 years.
I am immensely grateful for the care and unwavering support that the Endometriosis Foundation of America has provided me during my journey. Now, it's my turn to give back and make a difference. I'm reaching out to you, my friends, family, and compassionate individuals, to join me in supporting the Endometriosis Foundation of America, founded by the remarkable Dr. Tamer Seckin. Together, we can make a real impact in the lives of those affected by endometriosis and raise awareness about this under-researched and often misunderstood chronic pain disease. Your contribution will help pave the way for a brighter, pain-free future for countless women like me. Thank you for your generosity and support!
