Running for Jessie: supporting Brain Tumour Research

I’m attempting (injury prevailing!) to run 3 marathons in 3 countries in 6 weeks in order to raise funds and awareness for the charity Brain Tumour Research. Despite the fact thousands of people a year are diagnosed with brain tumours it is woefully unfunded, receiving less than 3% of all of the UK's cancer research funding. In supporting me, you’d be helping contribute to vital research aiming to better understand brain tumours, improve treatment and one day find a cure.

Jessie was diagnosed with a grade 2 astrocytoma brain tumour in April 2024. Her positive attitude, strength and positivity throughout her diagnosis, surgery and now ongoing treatment is truly inspiring. Jessie has been incredibly open in sharing her journey online, raising awareness and offering support and advice to others going through the same thing.
She has inspired me to reflect on my own fortunate good health and take on this challenge - not just to show my support, but to raise awareness and funds for Brain Tumour Research in her name.

Last week I completed marathon no.1 in the beautiful Porto, Portugal, a tough run in the sun but any opportunity for some vitamin D. Now onto the Netherlands and Italy for my last two marathons.

Any donation makes a difference, thank you for supporting me.
