Running for my Tito Albert
Donation protected
As you may or may not know, 2017 was a tough time for our family. My uncle, Tito Albert, was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive cancer that begins within the brain. The cause of most cases is unclear and there is no clear way to prevent this horrible disease. Unfortunately, even with maximum treatment, glioblastoma usually recurs.
Over the past year, my Tito Albert has undergone multiple surgeries and treatments. I have decided to start a gofundme page in honor of him. He is a very special person to me, has always been there for me since I was a little girl. He is the sweetest, kindest and most loving person I know, always with a smile on his face and only has nothing but the nicest things to say about others. His love for our family, especially his wife, my Tita Bessie, and his daughter, my cousin Kristina is beyond this lifetime. He is a beautiful soul and truly is one-of-a-kind.
This Sunday, September 30th, I will be running a 5K in honor of my Tito Albert. Every dollar raised will be donated directly to the American Brain Tumor Association (https://www.abta.org). Please consider a small contribution to this campaign that is very important to me. Hoping one day, we can help better protect and cure those who are affected by the horrible disease.
Love Always,
Michelle
