Running For Ryan - Nick & Sam’s Chester 10k

In December 2022, we tragically lost Ryan after he took his own life.

Ryan was an incredible friend—funny, kind, and always there for others. His passing left a huge hole in our lives as well as everyone who knew him, and it’s heartbreaking to know that he, like so many other men, struggled in silence.

Since then, Sam and I have often spoken about how best to honor his memory while also raising awareness for men’s mental health—something that means so much to both of us. Too many men feel like they have to face their struggles alone, and we want to help change that.

That’s why we’ve decided to take on the Chester 10K on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, as our first fundraiser (and Nick’s first ever race!), with all proceeds going directly to Andy’s Man Club. This incredible charity provides free, confidential support groups across the UK, giving men a safe space to talk and seek help without judgment.

If by doing this, we can encourage even just one person to open up and talk, then it will all be worth it.

Why Andy’s Man Club?

Men’s mental health matters, and too many men feel they have to face their struggles alone. Andy’s Man Club is a life-changing charity that provides free, confidential support groups for men across the UK. Their mission is simple but powerful: to create a space where men can talk openly without judgment.

This incredible organisation was founded after the tragic suicide of Andy Roberts, a young man who showed no signs of struggling. His family and friends turned their grief into action, creating a network of support groups that now help thousands of men every week.
