Fundraising for an adapted playground and sensory spaces
Donation protected
I had a lovely chat with Ric when he came into the office about the farm and he wanted to raise awareness of the difficulties people with disabilities have when accessing gyms and swimming pools. If you would like to make a small donation towards his Great North Run, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you
Help us raise enough funds to get our project off the ground. Our project will significantly benefit the community by creating an inclusive and accessible recreational space at Thorntree Farm, providing facilities such as inclusive swings, wheelchair-accessible roundabout, wheelchair-accessible trampoline, inclusive fun sports area, puzzle and play panels, sensory shed, and rebound therapy. This will address the recreational and therapeutic needs of the residents.
Benefits include:
Enhanced Quality of Life: Residents of Thorntree Farm will have access to recreational activities that promote physical health, emotional well-being and social interaction.
Increased Inclusivity: Our project will create a welcoming environment where people of all abilities can engage in play and exercise together.
Community Engagement: Providing accessible space for everyone will encourage community participation and support. Everyone can come together in a shared space, strengthening community bonds.
Year-Round Accessibility: Covering the designated area will maximise the benefit and availability throughout the year.
Support for Caregivers: Providing a safe environment will offer support for caregivers, knowing that their loved ones have a place to enjoy.
Our project not only enhances the lives of the residents but also serves as a valuable resource for the entire community, promoting inclusivity, health, and well-being.
