Running for Uncle Kevin and St. Jude’s

Did you know that only around 1% of the population has ever finished a full marathon!? I have some exciting news to share—I will be running the LA Marathon this March! This is a huge personal goal for me. Growing up near Los Angeles, I always dreamed of what it would be like to run this iconic race, and after 10 years of running, I’m finally ready to take on the challenge.

But this race isn’t just about me. I’m running in honor of my Uncle Kevin—‘Coach Kevin,’ as I called him. When it came to exercise and staying healthy, he was my biggest cheerleader and the reason I laced up my running shoes all those years ago. Kevin passed away this year after a long battle with prostate cancer, which led to MDS leukemia. He was a fighter, and a personal hero, and I want to honor his memory by doing something meaningful.

That’s why I’m also running to support the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a wonderful organization dedicated to advancing cures and prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases – a cause that was near and dear to Uncle Kevin. My goal is to raise $2,500* and I can’t do it without your help.
