Running Manchester Marathon for Clatterbridge.

I'm raising money in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to my family and me.

As some of you may know, over the past 18 months Jonathan has been battling Leukemia. This is a battle that has now come to an end.

Although we as a family are devastated, there hasn't been a day that has gone by where Jonathan hasn't blown us away with his positive attitude and readiness to tackle whatever this illness has thrown his way. Through every failed treatment and most recently a bone marrow/ stem cell transplant, Jonathan has stayed true to himself and remained endlessly devoted to his family, friends and colleagues. After an extended stay in Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool, Jonathan is now back at home in comfort surrounded by family and loved ones.

Anybody who knows Jonathan will understand exactly the kind of person he is- selfless in everything he has ever done, forever putting the needs of others before his own. Even now he is more concerned about the longevity of my knees whilst training for the Marathon than himself.

Jonathan has brightened the lives of many people purely by being the person he is. I hope that this fundraiser will help Clatterbridge in giving other families the chance to see their loved ones fight and overcome Cancer as well as say Thank You for the care they have provided Jonathan.
