Running the Honolulu Marathon has been a dream of mine, and this year I’m thrilled to be doing it for a cause that’s close to my heart: supporting Project Hawai’i, Inc. This incredible nonprofit transforms the lives of homeless children across O’ahu, Maui, and the Big Island, offering essential services and programs that create a sense of stability and hope. Together, we can make each mile count for Hawai’i’s keiki (children) in need.

Hello everyone! My name is Michaela, and I’m thrilled to be running the Honolulu Marathon on December 8th. This marathon is not just a personal goal—it’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of Hawaii’s homeless children by supporting an incredible cause, Project Hawai’i Inc.

Why I’m Running for Project Hawai’i Inc.

Project Hawai’i Inc. changes the lives of over 1,600 homeless children across the islands of O’ahu, Maui, and the Big Island each year. Through their programs, Project Hawai’i provides a sense of stability and hope for kids facing incredibly tough challenges. They run interactive programs, including educational summer camps, holiday events, school support, and essential training that help kids build skills and confidence. Beyond this, Project Hawai’i provides vital monthly outreach, ensuring children have healthy meals, hygiene supplies, and emergency services.

Supporting Project Hawai’i Inc. through this marathon makes every step meaningful, knowing that together, we’re helping children in need.

How You Can Help

I’m raising funds to cover both my marathon expenses and a donation to Project Hawai’i Inc. Here’s how your support will be used:

• Travel and Race Costs: Help me get to Honolulu and cover race registration so I can participate in this event.

• Donation to Project Hawai’i Inc.: Every dollar raised beyond my race costs will go directly to Project Hawai’i Inc., making a difference for Hawaii’s homeless children.

My goal is to raise $4,000, with $700 covering travel expenses and $3,300 as a donation to Project Hawai’i Inc.
