Running the London Marathon to raise money for PAF
Hello, I'm Cesca and am running the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April to raise money for the Prince Albert Foundation. This is a Scholarship Programme at the centre of Wellington College (my old school), aimed at widening participation to families who wouldn't normally consider or be able to access independent education.
It offers fully funded places to young people with talent and ambition whose families simply cannot afford the fees. There are currently 30 Prince Albert Scholars studying at College and it strives to increase this number to 40 by 2025.
I have chosen to do this firstly because I strongly support the work that the PAF is doing to increase inclusivity and diversity into the school, and secondly to set a personal challenge for myself. My time at the College revolved primarily around sports, and to see how the departments worked helped me realise how aiding individuals with talents such as within sport, will greatly benefit their sport education and elsewhere in College life.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me, any donation is greatly appreciated, every little helps!
