Ruru - It Matters Until It Doesn't Music Video

My name is Denice Quimbo, and I'm a Filipino, Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist, who writes music under the alias, "Ruru". Last May, I released my first album, "Glorious Miscellanea" -- a 10-track piece written surrounding topics of emotional loneliness amidst the pressures of a postponed coming-of-age.

As you know, Ruru has always been championing independence. Staying independent allows for the art to stay fresh-- you have always kept the art (me) going. Whether it be through donations, or simply streaming my music, you’ve allowed me to make mistakes and have the privilege of staying close to you as we grow in this creative exploration of scribbles together.

It Matters Until It Doesn’t is the most important song to me in the album, as it talks about a very muted, nuanced, emotion. My hope is to be able to cement this emotion/piece in time in the world by furthering my creative vision through a music video.

We've currently gone into the pre-production stages and will begin production on March 31st and onwards.
