Everything lost in the fire

I wanted to give an update here. First off, wow, this is just incredible! We have made our goal and even surpassed it! Thank you to each and every one all have donated, shared the post on your socials and continued to speak of the Maui fires, bringing awareness around your communities. We so appreciate all of this!

Mom is leaving Maui today 8/25 and headed to LA for a few days. Then coming to us Mon or Tuesday. Sadly she was not able to go back to her home to see the aftermath and see if any thing could have been recovered. She can begin the healing here in Virginia. Again thank you to all.

Hi my name is Lonna and I am the daughter of Vonnie. As we’ve sadly seen on the news the Maui fires have changed lives forever. We have confirmed that Moms house is gone. The condo over looking the bright blue pacific has turned to ash. Her dream of retiring in Lahaina’s paradise has shattered, along with so many others on the island. The devastation and loss is insurmountable. While her survival makes us one of the fortunate families, she will need help getting back on her feet. As of now there is no firm plan but she will more than likely make the move out of Maui and head to Virginia to be with us. Many family and friends have asked how they can help, anything is greatly appreciated and we will continue to help others who are also displaced on Maui.
