Rush Clevelend Trio International Blues Challenge

Hey, Dave here from the bar/venue Octopus in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Rush Cleveland Trio have won the Central Iowa Blue's Society's Iowa Blues Challenge that recently took place in Des Moines, IA. This means that Rush, WIll and Gordy will be going to Memphis, TN on January 16 to compete in the 2024 International Blues Challenge! Wow. This is fantastic news and they whole heartedly deserve the honor. It's my feeling that they we should help the Trio get to Memphis and deal with some of the related financials. Renting a van might make sense and they'll need some lodging and other basic expenses. I'd be most comfortable if a lot of us stepped up here with smaller donations. Let's spread this around. Let's support one of our own and get them to Memphis so they can kick some ass! We'll also be doing a fundraiser show at Octopus right before they leave for the Blues Challenge in January 2024. Long live the Blues and long live original, live music! Thank you!
