Rush PA Program Silent Auction

Neighbors and Friends of the Rush Medical Center Community:

I am writing on behalf of the Rush University Physician Assistant program. We consist of 90 students undergoing training in the classroom and at clinical sites around the Chicagoland area. Our education, community commitment, and skills development is furthered by regularly volunteering our time and skills reaching underserved communities at shelters, clinics and programs both on and off campus. Rush has a commitment to service, and the Physician Assistant Program strives to uphold this standard of excellence.

In the spirit of service, this year we have chosen to support The Center On Halsted. The Center on Halsted is dedicated to serving the LGBTQ citizens of Chicago, providing vocational training, behavioral therapy, crisis lines and essential health screenings. The center also conducts research to advance care and quality of life for LGBTQ citizens nationwide. This nonprofit has served Chicago well, and we would like to contribute to the advancement in lives they are making.

Our class is organizing a silent auction fundraiser to take place on February 23rd, 2023. 80% of proceeds from the fundraiser will go to The Center On Halsted, while 20% of the proceeds will be distributed to the PA Society to support educational activities and events for the upcoming year.
