Rusi's Widows and Orphans - serving the disenfranchised.

Michael and Rusi Griffith are Angel Springs Relief, a Kenyan nonprofit that serves disenfranchised children in the Taita Hills region. We are facing shortages of food and supplies in eastern Kenya. The couple in the picture is holding their new baby, Darius, but after prolonged labor and insufficient funding for a C-Section (three clinics had turned them down), their time was running out. Rusi quickly traveled to town after hearing about the crisis from a clinic's manager. The director had refused to authorize the surgery without payment, but they proceeded when the director heard ASR would cover the expense. She and her unborn boy were just a few moments from death. The happy photo was taken three months later. Rusi and I have rescued the little ones in E Africa since 2012.
