Russell Ramsay's Eagle Scout Project

Hello, my name is Russell Ramsay. I am currently a life scout and I'm starting my eagle scout project. For my Eagle project, I will design and build a safety railing near a steep drop off and a wood bench for the Richardson ISD Environmental Studies Center. I will also reroute a 40-ft section of hiking trail away from the edge of the river and mulch the rest of the 0.5 mile hiking trail.
Due to recent erosion, one section of the hiking trail is dangerously close to a drop off leading to a river. Since the Environmental Studies Center is used primarily by elementary school students, there is an increased need for a safety railing to prevent kids from falling down into the river and the section should be moved away from the ledge. In addition, the mulching and lining of the whole trail will improve the overall aesthetic while keeping the children on the path.
In order to make my project a reality, I am asking for your financial support.
Not only will you be supporting me with this project but most importantly your donation will ensure the safety of children. The center helps students develop environmental awareness and gain a sense of stewardship of our natural resources. Your aid will help me preserve this area for the future generation of students willing to learn about our natural environment and the Texas ecosystem.
I have estimated that the cost of my project will be about $1,500. If you are willing and able to donate to my project, it would be greatly appreciated. Any contribution would help me complete my project and ultimately earn my Eagle Rank in Scouting.
