⚫️MESSAGE FROM INTERMEDIATE HURLING SQUAD ⚫️
Hi Everyone! In the last few years we have been blessed to have such massive support from our local community, something which we haven’t taken for granted. We feel our club is a big part of the community and has a strong community outlook. A few years ago we fundraised for a new set of jerseys with the idea that we would promote Pieta House instead of having a sponsor. We are aware as young men we live in a black spot for suicide and mental health issues and we wanted to make a difference, raise awareness and lift a stigma, with the idea that our community would be a better place for it.
Pieta House have taken the very difficult decision to postpone this year's Darkness Into Light due to the COVID - 19 outbreak.
The service Pieta House provide is invaluable- and in these strange times even more so. All donations big or small are greatly appreciated and will go directly to Pieta House.
On the 9th of May at 5:30 am all players will separately run individual 5km. Unfortunately we haven’t had an opportunity in 2020 to wear our black and amber colours yet, let’s change that this weekend! We would love everyone in the community to join us in dressing up in black and amber and run or walk 5k while socially distancing.
Finally, but most importantly, we need you to spread the word of this fundraiser.
Your support is very much appreciated!
