Rusty's Cancer exams and treatment

Rusty is an orange tabby cat we adopted in 2015 from the Alachua County Humane Society.

He is Chelsea and I's first pet together, and my first pet as I didn't grow up with any pets. He is the best, most affectionate cat.

Last week, we had to take Rusty to the vet. He wasn't eating as much, he was lethargic, and clearly not feeling well. They did labs, gave him an antibiotic. We brought him back a few days later and they gave us some drugs to alleviate his pain and stimulate his appetite. They didn't work. We then went to a different veterinarian to get X-rays and ultrasounds after they examined him and felt a lump on his abdomen. It was cancer.

This week we brought him to the University of Florida Oncology Department where he is getting a firm diagnosis for cancer and then developing a treatment plan if possible. These diagnostics, medications, and exams have already gotten very pricey. We are raising money to alleviate the costs and for his treatment based on his diagnosis, chemotherapy or surgery.
