Military Veterans in need
Donation protected
Sometimes and especially for a couple of military veterans that between us have served for 39 years, it's hard to swallow your pride and ask for help.
Well, we are at a point where we do need help.
Why? The cost of living crisis and skyrocketing rental market. We have a small family; two boys aged 12 & 13. The 13 year old is Autistic and has complex needs. Our landlord decided they wanted to sell our home, and we are at the point of being evicted. We have been contacting estate agents daily trying to find somewhere to live since being served our section 21 with no such luck, however we now have a section 8 possession order issued from the courts, and have little over a week to find somewhere to go. We are struggling to find anything in the private rented sector because we are financially unable to save up six months rent up in advance, and the council have advised us to stay where we are until the bailiffs come knocking. Obviously this is not the situation we want to be in with an autistic child who will not mentally or emotionally cope with bailiffs making us leave our home, or us being put into emergency accommodation.
