Hi my name is Cindy. I am organising this fund raiser in my cousin Kelly’s name.

I am trying to raise funds in memory of my beloved Auntie Ruth who sadly passed away on the 10th of April 2025. She was diagnosed with metastatic high grade endometriod endometrial adenocarinoma cancer with bilateral pe hypercalcaemia of malignancy and passed away just 3 weeks after her diagnosis. Understandably this has all come as a massive shock to my whole family and especially to my cousins.

I want to help my cousins Kelly and her twin brother Mark and Anthony raise funds to help towards the cost of their mums funeral and to cover any other expenses that may pop up.

Ruth was always such a happy go lucky lady, everywhere she went she had a smile on her face and she had such a bubbly personality, she was adored by everyone who knew her!

She was a hard working woman, she devoted her life to helping others by volunteering in a Barnardo’s charity shop for 23 years following in her own mother’s footsteps and she also helped out at a local laundrette near her home in Frome.

In the early part of her life she worked at Selwood mental hospital where she met Nigel the love of her life when she was just 17, they got together when she was 19 and were married in 1979 when she turned 21 but they were only married for 23 years before Nigel tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2002.

They had 3 children together, Mark and Anthony were born in 1982 and Kelly was born in 1989.

They also had 3 grandchildren all girls, Chantell, Amelia and Kacey.

Ruth was a devoted and loving mum and grandmother she would do anything for her children and grandchildren, I know they will be so lost and heartbroken without her.

If anyone would like to help my cousins and donate toward the cost of Ruth’s funeral we would all be so grateful.

Ruth’s funeral will take place on the 6th of May 2025 at 3pm at Semington crematorium, family flowers only, the theme is wearing something colourful in particular the colour yellow
