Ruth's campaign for Moses
Donation protected
Hi everyone, meet Moses Chicco Aron. This young man has touched me deeply with his resourcefulness, persistence and spunk.
Moses grew up in Malawi, the country of my childhood. While I grew up a child of privilege, he walked three miles to school each day and struggled to afford school books and materials. But Moses persisted and was the first in his family to attend university. Here he encountered a computer for the first time and fell in love with math and stats.
Moses' dream is to study data science and bring the skills he learns to create positive change in Malawi, a country with significant shortfalls in basic infrastructure, health, and education. Against all odds he has successfully applied and been accepted to the Masters program at UNC Wilmington.
This is where you and I come in.
Although UNC has been very generous, Moses still faces a shortfall of about $10,000 in tuition and $3,000 in health insurance. All funds raised in this campaign will go directly towards these needs. His opportunities to earn money while studying are limited; he cannot work off campus due to immigration rules. So he really could use our help.
There is so much need in the world. But change happens one person at a time. Our help will change Moses' life and in this way, the world as well.
In gratitude for your support and caring,
Ruth Etzioni
