Ruth’s chemo treatments
Donation protected
My name is Loran Kesner, I am the daughter of Ruth Russell (many know her as Sissy Lambert) Just recently my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She’ll be starting her treatments at the end of this month at the Tate Cancer Center at BWMC roughly 3 hours away from where she lives in Romney. She was told by her insurance company that they will pay 80% of the bills and that the other 20% was due at the time of service. As we all know chemotherapy is outrageously expensive, even with 80% covered. My mom isn’t working at the moment because of her diagnosis. She has made it her life’s work helping others since my grandfather owned Lambert’s Ambulance Service. She has been an EMT, a dispatcher, a transporter at the hospital, a care giver, a teachers aide at the deaf and blind school, and worked at the children’s home. She’s a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. I know she would never ask for help, but I think it’s time she finally accepts some help for once so I am asking for her. I understand times are hard and we’re not far from Christmas so even just a share of this would really help. There is no donation too small, it’s all very much appreciated. The money will go towards gas to get her to her treatments and back home, as well as helping pay for those treatments. Thank you.
