Hey Everyone!
Ash & I are setting this fundraiser up not only because we love Kyle & Penny, but because we have been in this situation before when our dog needed back surgery. It helped us more than words can explain. To this day we are still blown away by the help we received from people who cared, whether it was a donation, or simply sharing the fundraiser, because ANYTHING helps!
Penny is a five year old German Shepherd/Husky mix. Kyle adopted her eight months ago, after she was brought back to Manitoba Mutt's from her first owners. Kyle had the notion that giving her up was an extremely hard decision for the previous owners to make. Her adoption post was online for maybe 20 minutes before he jumped at the opportunity to go meet her. They have since became inseparable.
Penny needs a procedure done called a TPLO surgery. They need to reattach one of the ligaments on her knee as well as put a plate in her leg to help increase the knee's stability. On top of that, one of her bones has a fracture, and there's a fragment or two floating around causing more knee issues. Based on her demeanor and how active she still is, these issues have lingered since before his time with her. It must have just been missed until now.
The surgery is very costly and as I mentioned before, ANYTHING HELPS!!
Lets get Penny pain free and running like she's a puppy again!
