In Loving Memory of Josh Simpson
Donation protected
This year we are raising money and awareness for DonateLife!
In March last year Josh Simpson suffered a brain haemorrhage and tragically died at the age of 32. Josh left behind his pregnant wife Amanda. Shortly after Josh's death their son Oscar was still born and he now lives with his Daddy in the stars!
Josh was a valued member of the community, he trained daily at MoveStrong gym in Devonport; he loved to be fit and strong! This year on Josh's birthday (29th April) the Joshy WOD will take place in memory of Josh. We also hope to get other CrossFit boxes around Australia on board to raise money and awareness for this important charity.
At work Josh was a team player, a dedicated employee who went out of his way to help others. He was a brilliant linesman and supervisor who was well respected amongst his colleagues. Josh spent a short time as a project manager, where he would've gone on to be great! Zinfra are hosting several fundraisers in Josh's memory; a morning tea at all depots around the country on Josh's birthday, a birthday breakfast BBQ in Launceston and a big Golf day with all Tasmanian employees, vendors and customers invited!
Josh donated 5 organs and saved 4 lives upon giving up his own life! With your help, we want to raise some money and more importantly, awareness for this amazing charity.
I encourage you to all have the conversation with your family and friends about your wishes if you were to die suddenly. I appreciate it is not a happy topic, but it is better to know in advance than approaching this subject on the news of losing a loved one. Even if you are a registered doner, your family still have the final say in what organs are taken.
I would like to thank you all in advance for your generosity and wish you all the best with your fund raising activities!
