Heliodora’s Funeral

It's with a heavy heart that we have to create this gofundme in order to raise funds to cover the funeral and memorial expenses for my mom. She fought a long and hard battle against an aggressive form of fungal meningitis. Unfortunately, this and the months long hospitalization caused further infections that weakened her body to the point where the meningitis took over. Anyone who knew my mom knows how friendly and kind hearted she was. She always saw the good in people and treated everyone like family. She loved to dance and listen to mariachi. She was always smiling and bringing light wherever she went. We will miss her deeply and hope to see her again someday.

Es con gran pesar que tenemos que crear este gofundme para recaudar fondos para cubrir los gastos del funeral y el servicio de mi mama. Luchó una larga y dura batalla contra una forma agresiva de meningitis fúngica. Desafortunadamente, esto y los meses de _hospitalización provocaron más infecciones que debilitaron su cuerpo hasta el punto en que la meningitis se hizo cargo. Cualquiera que haya conocido a mi mamá sabe lo amable y bondadosa que era. Siempre vio lo bueno en las personas y trató a todos como familia. Le encantaba bailar y escuchar a los mariachis. Siempre estaba sonriendo y trayendo luz dondequiera que iba. La extrañaremos profundamente y esperamos volver a verla algún día.
